..the same people who never RTFM?

Whenever I join or buy ANYTHING, I usually take the time to at least SKIM the major points of the manual / FAQ / contract / etc. just to make sure I don't miss anything big. The only time I don't do so is with new video games because most have built in tutorials anyhow.

N00bs violating the HD forum posting rules are annoying (not to the point where I'll actually take the time to flame them) but I wonder if they're the people who continuously have problems with things just because they can't be bothered to read a couple simple pages of text?
 
I never read the manuals... at least until i get stuck. But i always read any sticky threads or rules on new forums.

I always lurk for a while to learn the system. this is a comunity. As much as I would like to, if I join a comunity in China and just start being my normal self, I will quickly end up dead. Kinda like getting banned, but permenantly.
 
I never read manuals unless I have to, but when I started posting on the forum I lurked for a while so that when I did finally post, I didn't seem like too much of a n00b. 🙂

Yeah I just became an SA goon and am deathly afraid of posting there. Gonna lurk for a while longer before I decide to start polluting their forums. 😀

hmmm in my experience ..its always been the old timers aka lifers that cause choas cuz they are to stuck in their ways or blame the young whipper snappers aka noobs for everything...

just take a look around work..everyone blames management that has been around forever for the misery not the new employees 😛🙂

We were all a n00b at one point, even the elders here.

Usually it's best to lurk a while to get a feel for the forum, the content and the people ... then you read the rules, then you take the plunge and start posting.
