well, if you are talking about me narking on IHATEMYJOB2004 for his homophobic and anti-Semetic remarks, I'd do it again.

Yep. That's what started this.

What did he say? That homosexual Jews control the world?

IHATEMYJOB2004 said in another thread:
"How it's blatently obvious that hollywood is run by f@gs and jews. If you've been to a premier, you know it's true.

Well, more so obvious that gays run things:

Exampel: women:
When "hot women" as the media pumps them look like boys. Case in point. Paris Hilton. She has no t!ts and no ass. In other words. The body of a young boy. Now, how is this "hot"? In the minds of a f@g..... And ever see run way models?

Half of the women talk show hosts are dikes.

"Will and Grace"

I could go on.

Went to a premier. Director was gay. Lead of special effects was a woman that drove a Harley! Apparently her GF is the b!tch (who was also there)"

Your bigotry is not welcome here. One month off. Get a grip or move on.

you think people should be able to spout off bigotry unchecked? glad most people don't agree with you.

there's a difference in criticizing a person because of their actions or personality and condemning them because of race or sexuality.

I didn't say that. I didn't agree with what he said but I didn't make a public issue about it either. If I wanted to make it an issue I probably would have either PMd him first asking him to change it or PMd a mod. No need to start a thread about it.

I did PM a mod, but who's starting the unneeded threads? I took it to FI where it belonged.

I didn't start this thread to call you out. I started this thread because when you did it made me think about this forum and society in general. If I wanted to call you out I would have done it in the first post.

well, there is the whole bill-of-rights thing...mind you, society can and does shun people who are too bigoted. But they do have the right to say it...

I live by a pretty simple set of rules when it comes to these things...don't go out of your way to offend people, and don't go out of your way to be offended. Like almost all else in life, the middle ground is the best.

I think it depends on the audience. If all adults then those offended can turn it off (radio/tv) or leave the conversation...ignore the speaker. If children are involved then the parents have a responsiblity to either explain the offensive language or not allow them to listen. I don't believe parents/adults should attack people like Stern just because they're offended.

yeah, see stuff like Stern doesn't offend me. I don't like him, but I don't listen. If he started spouting racist remarks, then I would be offended.
