Are People Still Playing COD Ghosts (Xbox One)

I bought an Xbox One and being a COD fan got Advanced Warfare with it. It's less my style than the older COD games. Is COD Ghosts still pretty active or are people not really playing anymore?

IMO Ghost was trash. I maybe had 20 hours total into it. I did try to get back into it last week before AW came out and there were still a lot of people playing. You can still get a decent game of any CoD though.

I thought Ghosts was good. Not revolutionary but it is a fun multiplayer game.

AW is just too bubble gum pop for me. The power jump, cloaks, and all that stuff just isn't a style of gameplay that I like. But I came up on the early Rainbow 6 games and Counter Strike. So that's more what I enjoy.

Yes there will always be people playing the old CoD games which is why they still fetch a high price used.

I hated Ghosts and am really enjoying AW but if it's your thing then yes you will still find games.

AW is just too bubble gum pop for me. The power jump, cloaks, and all that stuff just isn't a style of gameplay that I like. But I came up on the early Rainbow 6 games and Counter Strike. So that's more what I enjoy.

Well, you know that there are AW game types where they remove the Exo suit, right? Not sure how the game plays in those modes, but you might try those out.

I am wondering if Ghosts multiplayer was really that bad or is a part of the Ghost rage similar to Vista/Win 8 etc where people are just reading about others saying how bad it is and just write it off.. I dont play COD online, just curious if people just parrot what the narrative is on the game

Ghosts was slower, more campy, and more tactical than BLOPS2. It had a much steeper learning curve and was less casual friendly. Still a very solid CoD game but it lost a lot of the fast paced arcadey feel that BLOPS2 had and AW brings back.

There should be plenty of players still playing, the player base on Xbox One was absolutely gigantic.

I played the free weekend they had and I didn't like the feel of gameplay. It just felt off.

I think this hits the nail on the head. It's slower and more tactical or something.

AW feels too easy or something. Never dropped under a k/d of 1 and doing similar in ghosts took a while.

It really was horrible. I've played every COD like a maniac since COD4. Ghosts killed the series for me.

Ghost is garbage dont waste your money, unless you find if for 10 bucks.

I have been very please with AW so far, hopefully they fix the few lag issues they have.

Still playing Ghosts, because it is about as much 'arcade' environment as I can take. The COD: Halo was just overboard on the cartoon.

I'm surprised people disliked Ghosts so much. I really have found AW to be pretty crappy as far as "based on planet earth" shooters go. It's like bubble gum sci fi, just cheesy. Not that cheesy is bad, it can be fun, but not for me.

The Modern Warfare ones were the best in my view.

But I'd happily pay $30-$40 for Ghosts. It's not Garbage. I played it a lot on 360 and enjoyed the hell out of it. But to each their own.
