newegg for gtx 680? Finally saw some in inventory and it wont let me check out.

EVGA 02G-P4-2685-KR has been removed from shopping cart due to quantity limitation/insufficient stock. Some combo items might be affected by this.

You had to be faster, that's all. They put up 20 or 25 I believe, and they were gone in less than 10 minutes. You can literally watch them be snatched up if you add them all to cart and refresh your page, which I do sometimes. To laugh. :)

You recognize you're spamming hardocp's referral link on to the AT forum? D:

Looks like their link handler detects it and replaces it with their own though. hah.

I used a script to get my cards. Why would you bother F5'ing?

I could have bought one at least 3 or 4 times today. yes they dont stay in stock for more than a 5-10 minutes but those that really want one can do so.

I guess this is one benefit to living in NZ, we may pay a bit more for things like videocards but theres always stock of what you want :) I grabbed a 680 the other week and the local shop had at least 10 just sitting in a pile on a shelf.

I'm sure if you were real desperate you could perhaps import one from somewhere?

same thing here in India. In Mumbai the guy who "got" me the card said that apparently there are only 5 GTX680s in all of India, which i believe is a load of crap. But if i"m one of those lucky few, then good for me i guess.

When I bought my 7950 I just set the reminder to tell me when they come in. So soon as I got the email, I went in and pushed buy. It wasn't tough. They were sold out within about 15 minutes after I bought.

i just said eff it and bought the 7970 today, easier to get, no hassles, and o/c its up there with the 680 anyways

If I was looking for a card I'd get the $460 sapphire 7970 non ref card. Not sure why there is a gtx 680 buying frenzy when you can get a $50 cheaper better than reference 7970 without the wait.

I've always ordered from newegg even when it was OOS and just shipped it when available. Normally shipped anyways within the week.

That doesn't work currently. They set the video cards to inactive, so you can't even add it to your cart in order t order unless they are in stock.

I got my 680 on launch day. Seems like they had quite a bit on launch and have only trickled them out since. I ordered an MSI, but then caught the EVGA in stock so I bought it and voided the MSI. I'm glad I jumped in at launch.
