i saw a smiley face with his tongue out in the watermark left by a sobe on a piece of paper yesterday.

It's friggin bookmatched veneer. You cut a piece of wood into two pieces and open it like a book. THe door or whatever it is has mirror symmetry. You can see the line down the middle. It's a common woodworking technique. She just never noticed it before.
