Ok, hm.

So here is the story:

Ive been having my birthday party at the same place for 11 years now. Its a pretty nice club in LA and Ive invited the same 10 people for pretty much 9-10 years. The last few years Ive also invited some high school friends (about 5 or 6).

This year is my first year after college (Ill be 20) and a couple of my better friends are out of state doing summer school. However, most people are in town. The problem is that out of 20+ people Ive invited this year, only 7 or so will even tell me if they can come (or not). Some people are even acting like "they will see if anything else comes up". I know these people well, and I know they mean they are waiting to see if they will get a nice date that night. lol...

Honestly, Ive drifted away from some of these people, but its always been a reunion type thing, and pretty much everyone knows that. I know that people make new friends and have busy lives, but I send warning of the party out almost a month in advance. None of my friends has a hard or important job. Honestly, am I just being too sensitive or are some of my friends being jerks about it all?

These people are some of my best friends. It just seems that they could at least tell me the truth if they are really busy lately.

yeah.. friends turn into asses.. just learn to deal with it.. and dont wait for them for to long... you'll lose some, and get closer to some that you never were close to before
