Are people funny and are your friends funny?

Sort of had lunch with this pretty lady last Friday (I ate, she wasn't hungry)... holy fuck. So, she's pretty, has some common interests, and whatever... but damn she was not funny. We managed to talk for about 1-2 hours but I don't know if I laughed more than just one or two times.

I cannot stand people who are not funny. If I cannot consistently be one-upped in a conversation on the funny then I feel like you should diaf. I want conversation to be a game of who can make the stuff funny as possible. That girl made it just boring. I think we ended up talking about if we could only have one super power what would it be... I said, "Whatever Dr. Manhattan has" and she said that wasn't a valid one because it's like automatic god mode. (The reason I chose it!) And I remember thinking while talking to her, "This girl is not funny. Such a tragedy..."

So if I ever have friends (and sometimes I do fleetingly) then they're pretty funny people... and generally I am funny as well.

I don't know her last name and I could figure it out, but I don't feel like doing that and then Facebook stalking her just so I can get you an image of her.

She's pretty, enough said. Although I am not a fan of the look. (Preppy)

Your allowed to steer the conversation another direction you know. Other people in the restaurant usually make for something funny to talk about.

You're... and yeah, but I don't like being the only one making the conversation. If the other person is not capable of carrying more than their own weight then it's not fun. When people can carry more than just their weight (and in this case, the girl could barely carry hers) then it can result in good and funny conversations.
 
If your entire value of conversation is based on funny...you are a lost cause.

Couldn't you two have talked about how depressingly emo you are?

Trident there are leaders and followers. It sounds like you are a follower, and so is this girl. I suggest you find a female leader to guide you through life.
