Are people buying blank dual/double layer DVDs yet?

So dual layer burners have been out for awhile, but I did a quick search on pricing, and it seems that they're still around $7 per blank DVD. Are any of you actually using dual-layer discs or just the old single layer discs?

I bought the ol' NEC 2500A a few months before dual layer DVD burners came out, and I was a bit annoyed at the time that I didn't wait a bit. But, it seems like it didn't really matter, as it might take awhile before dual layer disks become mainstream.

Is there a reason why cost is still so high? (Perhaps a "conspiracy" with the MPAA? :) )

Meh, that's too simple an answer. I want a conspiracy!

4.38GB is plenty for any home video. If you got more video, put it on a 2nd 4.38GB DVD. Why waste money on dual layer DVDs when you know you'll scratch them up in no time.
