are old 1GHz duron's at all oc'able?

my friend has an old 1GHz duron...I don't really know anything more specific about it. does it have any overclocking potential at all?

Check the overclockers.com database. Probably good for 1.2GHz depending on the setup.

My 800MHz couldn't go passed 850MHz no matter how I tried it. But that was most likely a case of a cheap motherboard. (Soyo K7V Dragon)

The 1 ghz Durons were the first using the Morgan Core, slower speeds used the Spitfire core. Should be good for 1.2-1.3 ghz with Vcore stepped up some.

on default voltage mine 1ghz did 1330mhz, it did run hot though, i recall noting that hte default voltage of the processor was 1.78V- kinda weird

yeah many people get those things to speeds like 1.3ghz to 1.4ghz
with a few even getting higher
