Are Nvidia drivers safe to use with any 6800?

I know it sounds like a stupid question, but I'm not an idiot, I'm just a moron. I have a Leadtek A400, which is a vanilla 6800 (not GT or ultra). I want to install the latest drivers, and the Nvidia website has much newer ones than the Leadtek website. I emailed Leadtek tech support with this question a week ago, and got no reply.

I know Nvidia makes the 6800's, but I don't know if Leadtek adds anything besides their humongous heatsink. Can I get into any trouble, either with hardware or warranty, by installing the Nvidia drivers?

Use the latest forceware drivers from Nvidia's website for the best performance. It will not void your warranty.

btw, when they say overclocking voids ur warrenty...how can they prove u did overclock if u did it by software? biggest bunch of BS ive ever heard.

they have ways, they might have limiters which get raised when overclocking, and so they check those, so i suppose they have detection systems to find that, and the fact that someone sends there card in which cant run at its stock mhz, that is mostly due to OCing it to high...

actually the "overclocking your videocard voids your warranty" mostly BS. if you read videocard warranties you will find that many do not say anything against overclocking, and quite a few videocards even come with software made for overclocking.
