Want to upgrade my vid card on my aging pc.Currently it's a PIII 1.0 gig,256 meg sdram,Asus p2-99b slot1 m/b(similar to p2-B,but 440 ZX chipset and Baby At) and a retail Radeon VE AGP .I want to upgrade to another budget card like a Ati 9000,or GF4mx,GF2 or 3 ti 200.My m/b is only capable of 2x agp, will newer vid cards run at 2x or do they need a 4x agp board?I'm pretty certain my m/b only meets agp 1.0 spec. But then again I'm running a Radeon Ve in it now, which I think needs a agp 2.0 spec m/b,not sure.Whats a safe vid card upgrade? Thanks.

I can verify that a ti-200 and ti-500 are compatible. Specifically Visiontech branded cards, but, any make should be fine if they followed nvidia reference spec for the agp slot.

Hit fs/ft and be happy.

Using a Radeon 9100 64 MB in my P2B. $115 Canadian. Faster than a 9000.

Celeron 1.4 (Tualatin) too, using an Upgradeware Slot-T adapter.
