are my temps too high?

i have my system overclocked to 2.6 now but my temps idle are at 50c. is this ok about 55c load...i just in stalled with artic ceramique a day ago...do i need to let it cure some more..or burn in time on the compound? are these temps safe or ok?

im only using 4 fans plus the cpu fan.. thanks for the help and advise in advance really appreciate it

Those temps are fine and that's a sweet overclock  The thing to keep in mind is that the system will become unstable if the temps are too high, so let stability be your guide.

I agree with DAPUNISHER. Those temps are fine as long as your system is stable. I chose the route of quiet cooling so I have temps of upper 40s at IDLE with lower to mid 50s at LOAD. With my CPU overclocked as it is I'm very satisfied.

thanks appreciate the help..was worried about my temps..i keep giving it voltage to overclock so its gets hotter it seems....and hoping that the new application of thermal compound just needed to settle in and that temps will go down.... i have it at 13x200....as soon as i figure out how to up the front bus more ..instead of using the mulitplier im hopin for more.

What voltages are you using, if I may ask?
Those temps are perfectly fine. I usually saw those sort of temps on stock cooling on stockily (new word!) running processors, such as my brothers computer (load temps for his 2400+ tbred get as high as 60C and it's been running fine for a year now)

whoooo i set it back to 11X200 for a little while and then shut it off while i went shopping...my cpu temps were 27c idle(again at 11x200)...maybe i need to let it cool down some and let the compound set in(by shutting system down at nite)....guess i will be cranking it back up to 2.6 in a couple to see if this lowers my temps

is that prime stable, if so thats one sweet overclock for air cooling. what cpu cooler are you using?

those cpu temps are probably a bit off, unless you just have an awsome setup. in my experience once the bartons get a little bit past 50C(core,not socket temps) when overclocked they tend to get very unstable.

2.6mhz isnt very fast. My first PC (a Packard Bell DX66) at least ran @ 66mhz. Might want to think about OC'ing that 2.6mhz, maybe push it to 6mhz, that would be a nice 110% overclock!!! Sweet. 😀

Obviously I'm joking, but seriously youre system is running at 2.6Ghz, not Mhz.

P.S. its in your sig too....might wanna get that looked at.
