Are my speakers dead?

Hi,

I have 4 year old Klipsch 4.1 400W promedia speakers. A few days ago they were working fine despite a little static that has been around for about a year in the rear right channel. I turned them off before I went to bed that night and didn't use them for a day. However, went i went to turn them on a day later (without looking at them) nothing happened, no sound, no static. When i did finally look at my speakers, i realized that the power LED wasn't lit...orange(off) or green. Since I didn't look at them before i turned them on i have no idea whether the off led was lit, or not, before i hit the power switch.

I checked to make sure the cable between the "center" (4.1 remember) speaker and the sub was still connected, and it was. I made sure the outlet the sub is plugged into is still working (it is). I made sure everything else seems to be connected properly (everything is).

Did my speakers just bite the dust or is there something else i can check?

Thanks,

Mbotumbo

P.S. I sent a support request to klipsch but haven't heard anything in about 3 days.

It just got weird.... my speakers have been dead for a couple days now...nothing working at all... i moved them around, unplugged them, plugged them back in, etc.

I just accidently bumped the sub (very lightly) with my leg...there was a thud...and the power LED is back on. They sound fine....

So, they don?t seem to be dead but there does seem to be a loose connection...probably in the sub.

Is it worth messing with more or should i just keep my fingers crossed it doesn?t happen again?
