Are my shocks blown?

I recently lowered my car on a spring and shock combo. I was told by the seller that the set had about 7k miles on it. After driving around on them for about a week I noticed the rear sits a little lower than the front. I've seen pictures of other people's car with the same setup and theirs don't seem to be experiencing what mine is (rear is even or a little higher than front).

Also this setup is suppose to be stiffer than stock but the ride is quite bouncy as if the shocks aren't damping effectively. I can push down on the rear quite easily.

Push down hard on the corner you suspect is bad, let go and watch it. It should simply return to the original spot if the shock is good. If it bounces then then shock is worn out.

Ride height is controlled by springs.

Rebound and compression (how quickly the car reacts to bumps and smooths them out) is controlled by shocks/struts.

Are you sure the previous owner didn't do some cutting on the springs?

I never even answered that part of the post and I thought I had. My initial thought was that you put the the front springs in rear, or vice versa.

it can bounce but only up to 2 full bounces on OEM,

name model of car and spring/shocks.

I'm droped on tokico illumia's and maxspeed springs. I get 2 full bounces and then it levels itself pretty well.

Questions....

you dont happen to have a sub in the rear? pictures of other cars did they have the same trans? for instance my 98 maxima has a auto trans that weights about 125lb VS a 5 speed trans that is about 60lb. so auto's are lower in the front. audio equipment will bring your rear down as well.

soft springs can give you a more bouncy ride like eibach's / H and R's.

you cant really put the fronts in the rears because most cars have a diffrent setup. we dont know what car he has nor anything about it but odds are it is normal. it sounds to me like everything is normal.
