Are my monitor's BNC ports usable with normal video cards?

My Sony monitor has BNC connectors on the back, but my video card only has HD15 plugs. Are there cables that will connect my HD15 video card to the BNC connectors on my monitor? If so, is there any discernable advantage to doing so, i.e., does the image quality improve? Thanks!
 
Yes there is a cable to do that.

I have seen it done several times and my advice is don't waste your money on the cable because you are not going to notice a difference.
