read speeds:
maximum: 41899.0 kps
minimum: 7511.0 kps
average: 31807.7 kps
cpu utilization: 14.6%
random access time: 12.7 ms
read burst speed: between 78 and 79 mb/s

What if you get a score right at 80 on burst speed, how would you know if it went faster?

oh i gotcha... i dunno. although unless you're using scsi, i don't think that'd be an issue.

Well, the reason I ask is because I just tested my harddrive with HD Tach and I'm right at 80, and there's no space after the bar.

Here's the test results:

IBM 75GXP 30gb

Read speed
Max 37,905
Min 26,684
Avg 35,013
CPU 8.4%
Ran. Access 9.5ms
Burst (pegged at 80 mb/s)

And the version of HD Tach I used is 2.61, if that makes any difference.

EDIT: Please dissregard numbers above. I copied them down wrong, I rebooted, and then retested. Here is a GIF image.
