One spammed a dehumidifier thread over in Home & Garden. I think he even created a custom URL for his post.

I don't understand why you can't disable posting links/images, etc. for those with fewer than 25 posts. I was a site admin for over 10 years. It can be done.

All this spam could be stopped, just set the 1st post of anyone new to be moderated if it has links, or obvious spam keywords.

I'd set a rule to allow a spammer using the blackman avatar to post about free iPods

some are pretty sophisticated but no links in the first 5 posts would kill most of them.
