Are mobo eSATA ports hot swappable?

Simple (I hope!) question as in the thread title.

Using Gigabyte P55A-UD3P mobo with two eSATA ports.

Bought an inexpensive (~US$16) eSATA enclosure for the 320GB HDD I'm going to pry out of my notebook. (Going to put in a Momentus XT hybrid drive in the notebook.)

Want to know if I can just insert the drive in the enclosure, and plug/unplug via the eSATA ports on the back of my mobo while the computer is running.

A quick google of "hot swap esata" brings up a variety of answers on different forums, and I trust you folks here!

If it is truly a eSATA port and not just a backplane extension of an internal port on the mobo.

My mobo has no eSATA port, so I use a separate card for that, and it is 100% hot pluggable. So is the eSATA/USB combo port on my T510 laptop.

Mine is hot swappable. Motherboard is an Asus P6T with one eSATA. When I plug in a drive, shows up as clickable in "safely remove..."

Great! Thanks for the confirmation.

I'd hate to fry my 2.5" HDD and/or my mobo by going on a wrong assumption.
