Are Leadtek and Foxconn the same company?

IIRC Foxconn has been rebadging some LeadTek products, mostly motherboards, hence the WinFast.

Almost seems like it is the other way around, since Foxconn offers a more extensive line of motherboards than Leadtek. At least looking at their two websites for motherboard products, I get the impression that Leadtek is phasing out their motherboard line (there are no socket 939 boards listed, only 754 and 940), while Foxconn has the latest nForce4 models available.

I think Foxconn is the bigger player of the two companies. I had the impression that they are the OEM behind a number of other people's product lines. I would have imagined that they actually built the motherboards for Leadtek. Perhaps they've licensed the WinFast name from LeadTek to use with their Athlon motherboards.

The WinFox software that Leadtek provides for their video cards also seems suggestive of some sort of close relationship between the two, as hans030390 noted.

I'm just speculating, as I've never seen anything discussing the relationship between these two companies.

*shrug*

As long as LeadTek's cards stay the best in the business and FoxConn keeps making good mobos, I'm really not all that concerned.

foxconn is one of the largest mobo makers, a lot of the others rebadge foxconn mobo's, its far more likely that leadfast is just rebadging foxconn mobo's

Leadconn? Wintek? Foxfast?

As long as whoever they are keep on making high quality products then Im happy.
