are lcd glasses practical yet?

I think it'd be great to have two small lcds in a head mounted display of some sort. That would make games really immersive, especially flight sims. All I can find are bulky, low res, ridiculously expensive units. Some are even using CRT technology?! Seems like it would be pretty cheap to make a basic unit with no built in sound or movement tracking.

Anybody know of any that currently exist?

From what I understand, it has a poor quality image, certainly nowhere close to a nice CRT or LCD screen. I wish a really good one did exist though, I remember one a while back that had a head tracking unit you could use with games which was cool.
