Are Ipods Reliable?

Im thinking about buying the new ipod 20gb you know the one with the color screen? Its only like 288 from microsoft with a discount. Are the ipod's worth spending money on? are the batteries really as crappy as everyone says they are?

If i were to buy an ipod mini is it worth it to get it from say comp usa and pay 50 bucks for the warranty or just go straight from apple for 70 bucks cheaper? just wondering
 
Pay the eatra $20 and deal directly w/ Apple IMO. Oh and welcome to ATOT antyler :beer:
 
Ipods come with 1 yr warranty, and then you can buy additional one year warranty from apple store or online for $59.00.

Here's something most people don't know about warranty (or at least I didn't know), but if your Ipod breaks within the 1 year warranty and it has been more than 6 months since you bought the ipod, they charge you a $29.99 "disposal fee" which is pretty stupid fee in my opinion. I'm sure it's just a way for them to squeeze a few more pennies from you.

so maybe buying from compusa for the warranty is better...i dunno.
 
Hmm, so hard to decide im thinking about going with the new color 20gb ipod for 288 after tax. Thats right from Apple's sight. Someone told me the extended warranty isnt even worth it? Anyone have any major complaints about their ipod? i hear the batteries are crappy? and no suse920 this isnt gurk.
