I managed to find an internship for this past summer but it was the only offer that I got.
I'm wondering if getting a full time offer will be more difficult or easier. I hope to get numerous offers and really think hard about my decision. Someone told me internships are a lot harder to get.. so maybe I'll have a better turnout this time.

Internships are a whole lot easier to get. There isn't much invested in them. Just fulfilling a program.

Not to bust your bubble or anything. But getting a full-time position can be difficult, because the risk is a lot higher. An internship carries little to no risk. Take what you can get.

I would think internships are easier... like spidey said there is more risk in a full-time position. I did pretty well in college and thought I'd have a few offers upon graduation, I ended up finally getting a job (low-paying web design, I was interested in software development) in November and I had graduated in April.

Matters what industry and specialty you are working.

Medical specialist internships are extremely difficult to get. While in the real world, there's a huge demand for these specialists.

Internships are harder to get if you start to late....but over all, a full time position is much harder to get.

Big 4 internships are hard to get in. but once you get in, you're pretty much guaranteed a full time offer after graduation unless you totally screw up the internship.

Number of open full time position is larger than number of internships; but for internships companies do not look too much about qualifications.

In law at least, good internships are as hard to get as full time jobs, because the firms tend to hire their interns.

But it's probably easier to get a full time job than an internship if we aren't comparing internships vs jobs at the same firm. Nobody wants to intern at a crappy employer, but when it comes time to pay the bills, you'll probably take it. I think that's the biggest difference, interns are pickier because they don't need it (and to an extent, the employer doesnt need them).

If all you got was an internship offer, though, take the experience.
