Monkeys definitely do it, and dogs are arguably masturbating when they hump your leg. I imagine many more mammals would do it if they had opposable thumbs (no doubt the reason that Rover does not take matters into his own paws).

Wrong. Bonobos (similar to chimps, also called pygmy chimps sometimes) will &quot;do it&quot; in different positions, even face to face. Often the female picks the position she wants and even has sex with another female if she feels like it - lesbian monkeys, wohoo
