Yes, SATA II is backwards compatible with SATA I, but the only thing that your mobo will utilize is probably that 16 MB buffer, but its not a noticeable difference.

ok thanks. Having to rma my tforce 6100-939 after problems with ethernet, and i saw this board just came out after i bought the tforce and it looks really good for ocing. Just making sure the stuff i alrdy bought for my tforce is compatible
