Are Handspring Visors decent or should I spring for a Deluxe or Platinum?

Right now, after coupons and a MIR, you can get a Visor for 99 bucks at Staples. Not too shabby. But, is it worth it? As long as I'm spending the money, should I just buy the Deluxe or Platinum? Ideally, I'd like to spend as little as possible, but I don't want to get shafted either. So, a little help please. 🙂

edit: Also, does anyone happen to know anywhere that has laptops for cheap?

The only difference between the regular Visor and the Deluxe is that the regular has 2mb storage, and the Deluxe has 8mb.

For storing appointments, contacts, notes, etc... 2mb is fine. But if you want to add programs, apps, games, etc... Then you'll want to go for the 8mb version. The Platinum adds a newer version OS and a little speed. But imho, it's hardly necessary and not worth the extra cash.

Second that last post. 2MB is fine for me. I didn't even begin to touch my memory limit with mine and I have 1400 contacts in mine. Didn't begin to touch it till I started using AvantGo that is. That thing sucked up almost all of my memory. Nice having Anand reviews wherever I go though 😀. Apps is where you get nailed big time.

I'll be wanting to put games on there. I'm getting a PDA instead of a GBA. 😉 Kind of considering a Palm IIIxe if it hasn't been Egayed yet from FS/T. Sucks though because my roommate's girlfriend has the IIIc, so I'll be jealous no matter what unless I spring for an Ipaq or something. 🙁
