Are GWC KVM switches any good?

I'm looking at a 2-port KVM on newegg by this company and it looks like the features are good(Lots of USB ports, etc). Has anyone used switches from this company before? Are they any good? How is compatability? I'll be hooking up a USB MS Office Keyboard and a Logitech Mouseman Optical to it.

I have no experience with this KVM.

Note that from the NEWEGG pictures this thing does not allow you to use a USB mouse/keyboard with your computer. Inputs from the computers to the KVM are usb but the KVM itself has plain ole PS2 inputs.

I'm not sure what the point of this is, perhaps it saves cables?

Some of the newer IOGEAR KVMs will let you do USB end to end. You might check them out if USB is a requirement (lots more reviews/info on the IOGEAR KVMs too).

Features to look for when sharing peripheals via a KVM: Separate switching of USB and Keyboard/video. On some of the IOGEAR newer KVMs with USB you can leave your burner on one computer while switching to another to do work OR switch your burner if that is what you need.

I like IOGEAR too. I also notice that NewEgg doesn't carry the models I like.

Actually it does work fine with USB Keyboards/Mice. It has a 4 port USB hub as well as PS2 ports and they all go out to each computer via 1 USB cable.
