doggiedog having a red tint on 1 corner & a blue on another, a sad fate, for i have the same problem, i have a red tint on the upper left corner & a blue tint on the lower right corner, the other flat screen ctx trinitron had this problem, but it was blue on the upper left instead of red, i returned that for this viewsonic diamondtron, 2 different technology flat screen both have similiar problems, or can this just be a fashion statement for monitors? you put the red tint here, you put the blue tint there, add 2 lines across the screen & throw in some free geometry curves & you've got a stylish design.

Hmm... I'm just realizing that my laptop has a flat screen 🙂 Its an LCD, so its not quite the same thing, but it is flat, and very nice to look at. I'd sure like to get and 18 inch LCD...

The Viewsonic G790 is not flat. It's not even vertical flat. It's a bubble tube 🙂

I like mine, text is sharp at 1280x1024. OK at 1600x1200. My work monitor is a Sony E500 which I like a bit more cause it's flat.
