are flat panel tv's significantly lighter than normal televisions?

sorry, I don't know the correct terminology 🙁

I've got a 40" tv right now that's heavy as hell... when I move in a few months, it's going to cause problems. when I moved into this apartment, I had a roommate to help me carry it up to the third floor, but my roommate will be gone before I get ready to move out.

I'm thinking about putting an ad in the local paper offering it for free to anyone who can come to my apartment and take it home with him/her and then replacing it with a flat screen tv. are flat screen televisions significantly ligher than their crt-ish counterparts, though? the chief problem I'm looking at now is even if I hired movers to move my current television into my new apartment, I'd have to way to actually lift the tv off the floor and onto the entertainment center :brokenheart:

Christ, you got money to burn, or what?

Pay somebody to move your apartment, TV and all. Save yourself a whole lot of trouble, and take care of two birds with one stone. I doubt you've got half a day's work there for Two Guys and a Truck.

its your decision but I'd put it on here 🙂 Put a clause like "pick-up only"... I am sure you can get a few hundreds buck for it that way 🙂

I guess it's just my mindset... if something's got no value for me, I assume it'll have no value for anyone else 😉

thanks for the link 🙂 I actually thought about Two Guys and a Truck the other day... I was stuck behind one of their trucks staring at the ad on the back of the truck for almost 15 minutes because the truck got stuck going under a bridge
