Are fake AMD chips a problem?

Do counterfeit AMD processors ever pop up anymore? And if so, how can you tell if you get one?

Thanks!

Hey that was below the belt!!!:Q

Pr rating while IMO is wrong and leads to more consumer confusion it is the only effective tool to market the majority of ignorant non techie computer shoppers. I know without it amd may be having more of a difficulty with the old revenues....I hear ppl state all the time the pr rating as if it is true mhz. I let them think it because it is beter not to confuse them and thus sour them on the cpu market. Fact is the pr rating at current levels still relates well to p4's though I think it may start runniing out of a skew. You can only add 100 pr pts every 66mhz before it starts showing...
