Are facials you get at health spas worth it?

I have suffered from acne in the past and still get some now and then. Not only that, but my skin is sorta oily. I have heard that getting a facial at one of those health spas, really helps in making your skin look nice and get rid of acne for some time. True? Are they worth it?

By the way, I am a guy.

There has to be a cheaper way of getting rid of acne than facials... i would imagine if it was to be effective, you would need to go weekly at least.

Facials are expensive, and, if performed correctly, well worth it. However, you can't just go once and expect a huge improvement in your skin's condition. It will take several visits over several weeks before you begin to notice considerable change.

My girlfriend is a receptionist at a day spa and of course I benefit big time. She's always giving me facials, using the same products the spa uses, which she gets at a 50% discount.

These products are very, very expensive, but IMO worth every penny. I don't have any acne, but my skin is very sensitive and isn't always blemish free. I also suffer from razor burn. She's got me using a gel cleanser, followed by a lotion (which I also use as an aftershave) and then I apply a cream for imperfect skin where needed. I do this twice a day and I've noticed a HUGE improvement, especially where the razor burn is concerned.

The product line is by Yonka.
