I dont know, but I saw one at the airshow last month here in Anchorage. The thing took off, immediately went straight vertical and accelerated into oblivion... pretty awesome stuff. And that thing is LOUD!!!! Shakes the ground even when it's a mile away flying over town somewhere. I want to buy one.

In early 2006, after an exercise involving just eight F-22s in Nevada in Nov. 2005, Lieutenant Colonel Jim Hecker, commander of the 27th Fighter Squadron (FS) at Langley AFB, Virginia, commented to Jane's Defence Weekly (Jan. 18, 2006), "We killed 33 [non-modernized] F-15Cs and didn't suffer a single loss. They didn't see us at all."

That's scary...considering the F-15 is basically a twin-engined radar...and it couldn't see the Raptors...wow. I hope Canada's F-18's never have to go up against them, or we'd get spanked.

That's not your flightline son, that's the taxpayers flightline. If you screw up just this much, you'll be flying cargo planes full of rubber dogshit out of Hong Kong!

To see the Eurofighter get owned? Eurofighter is an awesome fighter, but the F-22 outclasses it in just about everything. I wouldn't even put the two same fighters on the same level of aircraft.

Not a chance. He'll get downed for a week, maybe go before the CO, then get reinstated because he's one of the few hotshots that can fly it.

Provided he's a flyboy :D

Last I heard there were two squadrons currently taking deliveries, one in Florida or Georgia or something to that effect, and another in Virginia, and the Virginia guys were flying in homeland defense roles around Washington DC.

According to his sig, he's an Airman First Class. Not sure if NCOs can fly or not, but I can't recall any literature or photographs I've seen that would indicate that they can.

What does that mean?

They have an aux input for your iPod.

Wikipedia indicates that some F-15Cs have been retrofitted with the radar that is in the F-15E, so perhaps these ones were not?

F22's are deployed to active squadrons at about three or four airbases. All of the active squadrons are still in workups I think except for the units out of Langley

Aside from that, the fire control is what makes the F22 so mean. For instance an F22 can forward deploy to aquire targets and then fire weapons from other planes that have no visability of the targets at all.

Why didn't I think of that?

What kind of tickets did you get? I scored front row box seats near the center of the box seat area for both the afternoon and night show.
