Are dx8 games optimized for Geforce really coming out or is it marketing again?

I currently have a voodoo 5 5500. I know it is not the fastest card. I bought it a year ago because the primary game I play is Grand Prix Legends. It is a hardcore realistic driving sim. It runs best in glide. I remember thinking that I should have gotten a geforce 2 because it was faster and had T & L. Well I never really saw any games that really needed T & L. I am starting to wonder if the same is true for the geforce 3. It definitely is a fast card. I just want to know when the games that take advantage of it will be out. I keep hearing that it will be awesome when games that are optimized for it come out on the market. Sounds like the T & L games that never made it to the market. Maybe they did and I am just not aware of them? I would not mind buying one of these cards in the fall but if no games come out that take advantage of the advanced features on the card, there really is no point in upgrading. My card runs all of my games fine. I am starting to think that game developers are making games and do not really want to take advantage of the extra things that Nvidia has to offer. Heck if they did you would think the games would be on the market now!

There's a few T&L games that are more recent. Giants uses T&L and the new game, Max Payne uses T&L as well. A game called Dronez uses it as does another called Aquanox.

Every game I've picked up in the last eight or so months supports hard T&L(I buy a lot too;)). A decent amount also support many of the other features your board lacks, if you are happy however, then you probably won't miss the features you can't use in DX8 games that the GeForce3 or other DX8 hardware will offer you.

The games should still run, you just won't be able to see everything that DX8(or DX7 for that matter) board owners will.

I dont want to sound like one of those people that supports 3dfx and knocks nvidia or vice versa. I have had cards by both companies and been very happy. I know that the geforce 3 cards has many features that are supposed to really improve the visual qualities of games. I just wondered when some of these games are coming out. In the past it just seemed that T&L did not make as much of an impact as it was supposed to do. I hope that does not happen in the future with the new features of the geforce 3. I would really like to buy one this fall or when the games optimized for it start to appear. By then I hope the price will be lower. Thanks for your replies.
