Are DSLR base plates 1/4th inch of 3/8ths inch?

I need to order some base plates for my tripod (lost my old one), and don't have my DSLR with me at the moment.

Cameras have 1/4" threads in their tripod mounts. The larger 3/8" screws are for mounting tripod heads to the tripods themselves.
