Are DirectX 10 games like Crysis going to be 64-Bit?

What version of Vista are DirectX 10 game developers going to support? I plan on buying the 64-Bit version of Vista but that's got me wondering if next gen games like Crysis are going to be 32-Bit or 64-Bit or will they support both?

If I'm running the 64-Bit version of Vista and Crysis is 32-Bit will I still be able to run it on my system? I was under the impression that everything had to be 64-Bit. In other words, the game has to be 64-Bit to run on Vista 64-Bit. I could be wrong, I'm not really sure.

Can someone help me out here?

I read that MS will require 64-bit compatability at the very least for new games if they want the games for Windows seal on the box. That doesn't neccessarily mean that it will be compiled as a 64-bit app.

In the case of crysis, they did release a 64-bit patch for Far Cry, so it's reasonable to assume they will at least eventually do so with Crysis.

Does a similar requirement apply to hardware with a Windows Vista logo? I'd love to run the 64-bit version, and I hope some of the less well-known hardware vendors really step up to provide 64-bit drivers.

As part of the WHQL certification process for Vista, both 32 bit and 64 bit drivers must be provided and both must pass testing.

Also, XP64 and Vista64 can run 32-bit apps just fine. In theory, true 64 bit apps run a little faster on 64 bit OS's... in reality, it is a bit of mixed bag...sometimes 64 bit is faster, sometimes slower.

Also, it should be stated that it is the same for 32 bit on XP64/Vista64, sometimes a 32 bit app will run a little faster on 64, sometimes a little slower.

Other than larger memory support, is there any advantage to a 64-bit enviroment vs 32-bit
when it comes to games? If anyone can supply a good link discussing the issue, it will greatly
be appreciated.
