so i think i have settled for BM for interior painting.... we're talking at least 6 rooms, probably the basement too...

any experience in getting a good bulk deal on this brand of paint?

either I go to some mompop store, or the actual BM store... any club cards, coupons?

Popping this one up from a month ago. I didn't see it when it was originally posted.

To get a great deal on BM paints, you'll have to get the contractor's discount. This will drop 10 - 25% off the price of the material. Also, their Super Spec paint is quite good and runs about 30% less than the Royal label. Finally, if you are interested in doing a great paint job, ensure that you get some primer tinted near the color of the paint you are going to be using. Primer is way cheaper than the paint will be. The primer at Benjamin Moore is not cheap. In some cases, it might cost more than a gallon of paint. Head to Lowes and get 5-gallons of PVA primer for $30 or so. Best of luck!

Pm sent...

Might want to wander over to Fat Wallet or Hot Deals here to look for % off coupons for home improvement stores😀

Use the Yellow Pages. That's what I did. I called the different dealers and asked how much they want for a gallon, whether there was a discount for quantity, and if they would match prices. Best price I could find was from a small paint supply store, and they beat the competition by about $5.00 per gallon!

Best deal is to use another brand of paint. The stuff is horrible for several reasons. First it is sold by small hardware stores that don't have computerized mixing. This means that the color will be different every time you buy it. Second the sample strips are usually too light and the real thing is dark when it's mixed. The wife and I spent $300 on quarts to see how it would look like on our walls. Then we gave and got some samples of Ralph Lauren. The strips were the same color as what it looked like on the walls. Home Dept also does computerized mixing so the shade will be the same every time you buy it. And it looks a lot better on our walls than Benjamin Moore.

The RL is more per gallon, but when you take samples into account, it's a lot cheaper.
