Are Costco Xbox bunles worth the money?

Are XBox bundles sold at Costco worth their money or am I better off buying a regular package at target or elsewhere and then purchasing whatever I need separately?

Here is the bundle at Costco.com:

Bundle

for $464.99 you get:

# Xbox 360? Pro System

* Xbox 360? Pro Game Console
* Wireless Controller
* Combination High-Definition Component and Standard A/V Cable
* 20GB Detachable Hard Drive
* Ethernet Cable
* Headset
* Xbox Live® Silver
* Xbox Live® Gold 30-Day Trial

# Extra Wireless Controller
# Xbox 360? Quick Charge Kit
# Game: Halo?

Thanks.

that's what I got, and I think it's worth it. You'll need the quick charge kit unless you want to use your own rechargeable batteries..

I think they are worth it and am just waiting for them to get the Elite bundles back.

Yes. You don't really save much vs retail, but IF you want all of the stuff it includes it's very worth it. Costco's return policy > *. You don't have to deal with MS when it inevitably breaks, Costco will deal with them for you.

If the included Xbox does not have HDMI then it's the original motherboard and cooling, with an alleged failure rate of 30+%

Once that happens you'll need to be connected via Live to play any downloaded games, but at least with a CostCo bundle you won't wait 3-4 weeks for a replacement console from MS.

If it has HDMI then it's at least a Zephyr motherboard with epoxy and improved cooling.

If you can wait a month, MS is supposed to be offering a renamed "Pro" package with packed-in Marvel Ultima Alliance and Forza.

Thanks for the info, guys!

I can definitely wait a month, but each month it seems something else is going to happen 'next month' - a new core, an HDMI port, some games... But that time Thanksgiving holidays will be kicking in high gear and Xbox could be in short supply.

I think I'll get one now if I find a bundle with HDMI port.

i would strongly recommed getting it now. there's no point in waiting with consoles (unless you know you can get a lower price next month)/ get it now enjoy halo 3 and all the rest.
it not like a faster better consoles is coming out in a month.

since your getting it from costco its even better than the falcon since you can return it to costco if it ever fails.

edit. that bundle isn't a bad deal either.

like i said. why would you need to go to that much trouble if your buying from costco. and at this time buying from costco is the only thing to do (even if you do get a falcon cuz we have idea if the 65nm cpu improves reliability or not )
