Are Copper spacers still needed Even with the Alpha PAL6035?

I see it on plycons website and they offer the copper spacer but i am wondering is it still needed or is the alpha pal6035 just good enough as is?

If you're using it for a TBird or Duron, I don't see any reason why you should use it at all. I haven't used one on mine and it's been running cool.

No, it is not necessary. Just as long as you are careful mounting it, you should be fine.

If you removed the rubber pads from the CPU, I would consider it, but only if it was an expensive CPU.
