Are conics used in cars?

In drafting, conics cover parabolas, ellipses, and hyperbolas. I would imagine some of the surface details would use conics.

The headlights are paraboloids (I am 99% sure of this because a parabaloid allows you to focus light beams parallel to each other).

The pistons used in engines are elliptical in section to compensate for thermal expansion.
