My brother-in-laws brother(who I know real well)is living with his girlfriend and we just found out yesterday that she is pregnant. I think it may be entrapment as she wanted to get married but he said he wasn't ready yet. I don't feel I should tell them congratulations as they are unmarried and are in no way financially secure enough to start a family. I always tell people that I hope the baby is healthy or something like that. What do you think?

I take it they are for sure keeping the baby then if they told everyone. Just be courteous, most of the babies born are to be that are in no way prepared for them.

Hmm no it's not really, but it's definitely one of those situations where the damage is done and you have to be positive about it so I'd probably white-lie a congrats anyway.

no matter how much you want to dive into the situation, perhaps a congrats and a step back would be the best thing to do.

Are they excited? If they are tell them that you are happy for them, if you are. If you arent tell them you hope everything goes well.

What didn't he use a condom? Also she had lots of forms of birth control, he only had the condom. If she didn't use any of her forms of birth control (pills, patches, morning after pill, etc) then she wanted to get pregnant.
