Are classic cars/trucks really getting that hard to find?

Ok, so I bought a 1964 Chevy pickup around November of last year as a possible restoration project. I finally realized I didn't really have the time to screw with it and decided to sell it. So I post it on collectorcartraderonline.com (they suck btw :| ). Anyway, I'm in Oregon and I've got 4 calls from Cali ( 3 from L.A., 1 from Sac), one call from Phoenix, and another call from.... Florida...?? I mean, wth? Strangely not one single call from Oregon though.

Right now it looks like I've got a deal with one of the guys from L.A. who's going to fly up here and drive a 40 year old truck back to L.A. 😕 I mean, he'll probably spend more flying up here and on gas driving it back then what the truck is costing him. Not to mention that he's flying up here on nothing but my word (I have of course, been completely honest with him) and a dozen or so pictures I've sent him.

Eh, whatever I guess. As long as I get it sold I suppose. Wierd all the same though.

Yes they are getting harder to find especially where it snows and they salt the road. Is your truck in that good of a driveable condition?

I have a friend who flew out to Chicago to pick up a 1992 VW GTI, because it have the 16v engine instead of the 8v engine.

Yah, it runs real strong and the body is really straight but it has it's share of rust. I'm not even sure why I bought the thing. Well, I know why. I wanted another truck and I got impatient. If I'd actually thought about it I wouldn't have touched it though. *shrugs*

When I put my truck a 93 nissan (not a classic 😉 ) up on autotrader I had idiots calling me from all over the country and half of them couldn't speak english. I live in Wv and I had one moron call me from Ca and the guy that actually bought it was from Ny. I don't know why anybody would want to drive that far just to buy a little 2wd truck that doesn't even have a/c but I took the money 🙂.
