Are civics too small for you?

I really love civics, but I feel too tall in it. I'm all cramped in my dad's 2000 EX. I wish the seat would go back just a little more - so I could have some leg room. I was really looking at getting a new 2002 coupe, but I might have to pass :(

But accords are way outta my budget :( Maybe I should just break my legs - and before I go into surgery to fix them, just as the doctor to take off a few inches :)

I'm a little chubby, but I'm more muscular than fat - 220lbs, 6ft.

Those aren't too small. The old Ford Fiesta's were! What was the point, other than being able to fill up the tank without getting out of the car. :p

God, I could never fit in something that small. My truck is nice, but at 35k it is out of most peeps price range ;)

The EX only comes with a sun roof, the LX and the DX don't and have 2" more head room. I was going to get a 2001 EX but had to get the LX, and saved $2000. Its a great car, lots of fun to drive, plenty of room, and I get 37 MPG.

Go take a look at the 2002 civic first before you decide... The interior in the 7th gen civics (2001 up) are much bigger than the 6th gens (1996-2000)...

so dont make your decision based on your dad's 2000 civic...

A bud of mine has a 2001 civic (not sure which letters) and I fit alright in it.

I'm 6'3" and 260. I don't fit *great*, but I manage in the front seat. Never in the back though.

i have 2k2 civic, it's awesome, go to www.7thgencivic.com look at the posts and info, maybe you'll get hooked like i did! I'm not really into speed, it just begs for tickets and the civic's speed/accel is good for me :). Gas mileage is awesome and nice revamped interior with nice orange odometers :). Only thing i dont like is the headrest :\

Yeah! I love the HX. Why don't all the Civics use this engine? My sister calculated her mileage in her 2001 HX on one of her trips at 55 MPG! I think her BF might have sneaked a little fuel in the tank while she was asleep, LOL, but I have heard from others that they really do push almost 50 on the highway. Pretty awesome for a 117 HP, non-dwarf sized, non-hybrid coupe. I especially like that they come with good looking standard alloy wheels.

BTW, the 2001-2002 is a noticeably larger inside than your 2000. The 2001 is now by some measures a compact rather than a sub-compact. So go sit in one.

At 6'7" and 254lbs., Civics and many others are way to small........................that's why I drive a Yukon and a full sized pickup!:) Add to this the fact I think they are ugly...........they're great MPG cars I know, my wife had one years ago.......a CRX if I recall, but, their size, my size, and the fact that they are not very good looking vehicles precludes me from buying one........

Almost?!?!?!?!? I'm sure the number of civics on the road is more than 4x that of the integra.

So the 2002's are a lot larger?

Absolutely. Go sit in one next time you're out. See what you think.
