Are Case Feet Worth It?

there only 20 bucks becuase the different...

If you like the "Bling" look, I'm sure they are ok...

As for "worth the 20 bucks", well that's a personal preference thing. I know guy whos spent $300 modifying his Lian Li V1000 with scads of lasers and leds (the whole perforated front end lights up). He thinks it is worth it.

If you do buy them, make sure they aren't made of super cheap plastic/resin that cracks within a week (like the old Mac "Toaster" case).
 
Do they actually do anything? No.

If you just want the look and have the money, go for it. But I wouldn't get them.
 
John has them at http://www.jab-tech.com for only $15. - perhaps other places for even less. I certainly don't see the value in them at any price - but then I don't see the need for neon lights under my car either. Apparently others do...

How will one see it from under the HSF or water block??? Maybe they'll come up with the transparent aluminum alloy like in "Star Trek IV: A Paen to the Green Freakazoids" ...

the reviews say they are bright. i think they are a neat non performance degrading way to make your case look interesting..or funny, whichever. putting stuff inside one of those towers ins't so great unless u got a window to show everyone your dusty innards or whatever

what? you didn't notice windows on cases? black lighting for water cooling? led fans? uv fans? uv drive cables? stealthing optical drives and such other stuff?

Of course I've noticed them, they are all stupid (save the stealth opticals) but LED case feet take the stupidity to a whole new level.

no, stealth opticals are also stupid, its a waste of time for rather vain and stupid reasons. led case feet atleast probably waste less time to accomplish.

Maybe when optical processors become mainstream they will use the light coming out of the core for that purpose, LOL I bet you there are ppl that actually beleived what I have just said. :laugh:

Sounded plausible to me tbh.

I like the case feet on my Antec SLK3000B. Rubberish material that seems to reduce vibration between desk and case.

Nah. This is much more akin to the tennis shoes with lights in them. Not really practical, but it sure floats somebody's boat...
