I really could have sworn that the bruised part of fruit contains an excess of some kind of acid - and while it's not going to kill you, it's better not to eat it.

a little common sense here... what is often done with bruised fruit ?

fed to farm animals.

fed to animals at the zoo.

The texture & taste are off a bit. It does not look pretty. Nothing else.

Only 1 thing you can really do with meally apples, throw them at loved ones.

But for Bananas, MAN! I guess you people have never had fried bananas. The saucier the banana, the better for frying.

And the proper spelling is 'Felch' as in "you're a lipstick wearin, FELCH monkey". I kind of like that one.

Yep, besides the taste I don't think there is anything wrong with bruised apples or bananas.
