Are BMG cd's lower quality?

I've heard this from a few people... That BMG cd's arent as good quality as the original/retail cd's.... Some mention of a subpar quality studio cut (not the original)

Any truth to this rumor?

Sounds like BS from people who buy Monster Cable $100 interconnects.

Yes, the club might still be using the 2004 master of a CD that gets a "20th anniversary remaster" 2006 edition. But that should be easy to tell because the club description will not say it's that edition.

Just like if you go to Amazon.com or Wal-mart to buy a CD that has a shiny new edition it's up to you to Read The Friendly Description to make sure you get the right version.

And I've ripped at least a hundred club CDs to my music server using Exact Audio Copy and they did not have jittersplosions of error correction from being made in "lower quality" factories.
