Are audio books as good as reading?

I hate reading perhaps because I get frustrated when at times I'll read an entire paragraph and have not a clue what I just read. I also tend to replace words with similar-sounding or -looking words. As an example I could read, "table" and say "sable" instead. I would end up rereading what I just read. So reading takes me a while.

I was wondering if audio books are as good as reading a book. It certainly will be faster. Can an audio book person become as articulate as someone who loves to read?

Is there an audio book available on your post? If not, I lost interest after "I hate reading" and started to think about midgets riding ponies.

I love audio books, I spend alot of time driving and they are fantastic. Just make sure you get unabridged audio books.

I listen to audio books at work (makes the day go by a little faster) and while driving. I like them a lot.

I don't have a lot of spare time to read so I try to find the books that I'm interested in on CD.
