Are Asus motherboards the only ones with insulated I/O shields?

I would only buy a motherboard if it had the insulated (padded) I/O shield. Does anyone besides Asus make insulated I/O shields? I have an M4N72-E Deluxe and it has an insulated I/O shield, but I don't know if Asus is the only one who makes motherboards with insulated I/O shields. They're a must if you ask me.

I/O shields without insulation/with Fingers suck @$$ IMO.

I do agree with some of this post. In that they are great to have, however its not a deal breaker for me. Some of the non insulated ones are ok, and the ones that are crap i just throw out and dont use a I/O shield.

Whats the difference between an insulated one and a non-insulated one?
That's what I want to know too. I'm assuming we're not talking about I/O plate with electrical insulation... since I'm pretty sure it's there for proper grounding too....

My Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3P motherboard came with one (not that I installed it because it was my first build and I didn't realize you had to put in in before seating the MOBO). I assumed they all would, is this not the case ?

That material is the opposite of an insulator. It's conductive gasket cloth to better fill the gaps between the I/O sockets and the steel shield to block RF emissions.
