Is it my computer or are Asteroids WUs taking longer than they were 4-6 weeks ago?

I am getting the AVX WUs.

Don't know TBH, but I'm sure someone else was asking the same in the asteroids forum.

I've temporarily stopped crunching A@H, initially to crunch some Rosetta (& to lower temps) but currently crunching LHC & as they have a (very rare) glut of WUs atm! lol.
I'll grab a few WUs & see what times I get, although it's going to be hard to judge, I've just looked through my valid results & the times vary from ~7000-14,000s! At the end of June most were 9000-11,000s, but before that they were 7000-8000s, at least for a little while. Last 20 included some 9000-11,000s (which are the more typical ones btw) but also some 12,000-15,000s!

[update] Damn they came through quickly! Meant to grab at most a dozen WUs & got nearly 60 instead!

Ok so on the tasks that I grabbed on the 7th, of the validated ones 7 took between 8500-9500s & 1 took ~16,000s.
Of the 2 pending ones, they took ~9800s & 10,800s.

So bar the 1 16k s result they seem to be taking about normal time.

You still getting long times?
Oh btw my CPU doesn't have AVX, IIRC ;).

I've noticed some work units are taking longer than others to the tune of about 30% longer, but there apparently are very many of them, as the only negative affect on my RAC has been because of stalled machines due to OS updates.

Weird, & with Asteroids bizarre policy of a fixed credit of 480 for every WU then you'll get a drop in RAC :(.
CPU isn't throttling due to higher temps is it?

Running Asteroids atm, most WU times are from ~8500-10,000s so mostly in the normal range for my rig.

So have you always run AVX WUs?

A short while ago I got a bunch of SSE2, they took ~6500-8000s vs the AVX at ~5500-7000s

Ah ok, not that then, AVX one's are faster as you'd expect & hope for :).

Don't know then, are you sure you were getting ~80 min WUs? ;)

Most of the work unit times I'm seeing are in the 6500 to 7500 sec range for my rigs. It's hard to say how much RAC is affected though as I've had to give up a couple rigs in my fleet as well.
