Are any user suggestions actually taken seriously?

I've seen countless good ideas either in this forum or in others on how to better enhance the Anandtech forums experience, and hardly ever see any response from any mods, nevermind something actually getting implemented.

I understand if something isn't technically or monetarily feasible, but I'd like to see reasons why said idea wouldn't work, or why it can't be implemented.... even a "we don't like that idea."

Give me an example of something that got implemented off a user suggestion. And don't tell me there weren't any good ideas, because I've seen several.

It was suggested by several members of the FS/FT forum that only 2 threads per member should be allowed to reduce the clutter. It was implemented and has really reduced the number of multiple threads cluttering the forum. Is this an acceptable example for you?

seems that alot of the ideas for changes heve to do with moding the program that administers the forums , and thats not going to happen.

I have been around since the beginning and I can tell you that there has been many things changed as a result of requests or suggestions. I will mention one.

The Highly Technical Forum. This came about as a result of many posts in Forum Issues.

I'll repeat whats been said in numerous threads (search before asking :)).

We do not modify this forum software, to keep up with updates we will not change how the software works in such a way that hinders our getting updates. With over 100,000 users in this forum we can't possible reply to every request, sorry but that is reality, as with the rest of the internet sites out there.

Thanks.
