Are any of the non-phone Android tablets worthwhile?

So, the iPad has piqued my interest in having a tablet. I like it's capacitive screen, multitouch, etc., but I don't want an iPad. (I don't have a problem with Apple as I own an iMac and 2 iPods, but I just want something different).

I have looked at lots of Android tablets, and most of them seem really clunky. It seems like many of them have cheapo resisitive screens and/or slow, laggy interfaces. Lots of KIRF and Shenzhen stuff.

The Dell Streak seems nice, but it has a phone, which adds to the price.

Basically, I want to use a tablet to:
- Read emails
- Browse the web
- Watch movies
- Look at photos
- Play music (through my home stereo)

Any thoughts on what is or will be out there?

Not to be a jerk, but this has been discussed pretty extensively here (iirc the thread title was like "When will we see a NON-iPad tablet?" or something).

The conclusion is that the ChromeOS and Android tablet roadmap is pretty vague right now, but there will almost certainly be a handful by Christmas. One x-factor is whether HP can ship a WebOS tablet in a reasonable time frame...

You're not being a jerk, but I did search and found nothing (forgetting how much the AT search stinks).

However, Bing helped me to find this thread.
