They're not bad. The first 2 are pretty kiddy, but all the ones after that aren't bad at all.

They're not as good as the books, but still pretty good.

2-3 and 5 off the top of my head are prob my favorites.

6 is "eh" or maybe i'm just soured by the ending (I know it's intentional but still....was expecting something like 5)

I saw the first movie with my wife (girlfriend at the time). About 80% of the way through it we looked at each other and agreed that this movie is the most overhyped piece of crap we have ever seen. We walked out.

Every adult that said they liked the movie that I have talked to said they have read the books. Most can not get i t through their skull that the movie by itself is slow to develop and drawn out. And quite frankly it is boring. That is, unless you already know the story.

Having said that, when all the movies have been released on DVD (and no more are in the queue), I might try watching them again.

The story is kind of neat.. but the characters have absolutely no personality at all. Harry just walks around following what the others are doing. Every 30 minutes or so he will say a couple words.

How can you like a character when after the 6th movie you still don't even know anything about him because he has no personality? In the last movie he actually gave his own opinion about something! For 2 seconds I was awe-struck.. and then the movie continued as normal.
